THE FIRST
REAL ENERGY DRINK

Aegis is a reengineered Energy Drink that redefines what energy means — boosting cellular ATP and enhancing cognitive function to unlock true flow state. Low caffeine, no sugar, no artificial junk

YOU NEED MORE THAN CAFFEINE

Caffeine is a powerful nootropic that can elevate mood, sharpen focus, and enhance cognitive performance when used at the right dose. But when overused, caffeine raises our anxiety, spikes cortisol, disrupts sleep, and increases our risk of heart issues.

Here’s the truth: Caffeine doesn’t give us energy.

It works by blocking the neurotransmitter adenosine, playing a trick on our brain so that we don’t feel as tired as we actually are.

Real energy comes from our cells converting food into ATP, the universal energy currency for all life. Trees use it to grow toward the sun. Lions use it to hunt and birds use it to fly.  As humans, it powers everything we do kinetically, intellectually and creatively. More ATP = more fuel for everything that's important to us.

We call Aegis the First Real Energy Drink because it's scientifically formulated with key nutrients that help us maximize our production of ATP at the cellular level.

THE BIRTH OF AEGIS

I’m Tommy Duquette – creator of Aegis. I’m a former athlete (almost-Olympian), and co-founder of FightCamp, the pioneering connected fitness startup that raised $98M from top investors (including Y-Combinator & Mike Tyson).

Building a high-growth, venture-backed startup like FightCamp was a stressful endeavor and I developed a super unhealthy dependence on energy drinks along the way. Long story short, the high amounts of caffeine mixed with other synthetic ingredients in these drinks is not a good combo! This spiked my anxiety, my sleep suffered, and my performance, in the gym and at work, plummeted.

I needed something better. So I made it.

I tossed out the energy drinks, reduced my daily dose of caffeine, and went into solution mode. I hit the books, spoke with experts, and began researching how the body actually creates energy at the cellular level.

Aegis is the result. Myself and some former colleagues at my previous company have been drinking this blend daily for two years now and I'm so excited to finally share it with you all!

THE SCIENCE BEHIND REAL ENERGY

Energy is the silent engine of the universe—the underlying pulse behind motion, transformation, and existence itself. Energy is everything, and everything is energy. In people,
it’s the unseen current behind every thought, movement, emotion, and act of creation—the force that fuels our potential and gives shape to our creative purpose.

ATP stands for Adenosine Triphosphate. Think of it like a molecular spring: it's made up of three phosphate groups bound tightly under pressure. When your cells need energy, they tap into ATP by breaking one of its high-energy bonds which releases a controlled surge of power that fuels everything from muscle contractions, brain function, hormone signaling, neurotransmitter production, immune defense, cellular repair, and even gene expression. Needless to say, having a steady and ample supply of ATP is important.

The Aegis formula includes a number of key nutrients that our bodies need to generate ATP. NMN, for example, is synthesized into NAD+, a critical coenzyme that carries electrons through the electron transport chain as part of the ATP production process.

NMN (Nicotinamide Mononucleotide)

NMN is an energy and longevity molecule that fuels your body’s NAD⁺ levels—an essential coenzyme for mitochondrial function, DNA repair, and metabolic regulation. NAD⁺ can also activate sirtuins, proteins linked to cellular resilience and healthy aging.

As NAD⁺ levels naturally decline with age, energy production and cellular repair slow. Supplementing with NMN has been shown to restore NAD⁺ levels, supporting more efficient mitochondrial energy production and ATP generation.

Human studies show NMN is well-tolerated and associated with improvements in metabolic health, muscle insulin sensitivity, and cardiovascular markers. We include NMN in Aegis to support sustained, cellular energy—not just stimulation—helping you perform today and age stronger over time.

CoQ10 (Ubiquinone)

CoQ10 is a naturally occurring coenzyme and antioxidant that plays a central role in mitochondrial energy production by shuttling electrons in the electron transport chain — a key step in the creation of ATP, your cells’ primary energy source. Its antioxidant properties also help protect cells from oxidative stress.

Levels of CoQ10 tend to decline with age, and may be further reduced by stress or certain medications like statins. Supplementing with CoQ10 has been associated with support for cardiovascular function, healthy energy metabolism, and general cellular resilience.

At Aegis, we include CoQ10 to support cellular energy generation, antioxidant protection, and sustained performance from the inside out.

PQQ (Pyrroloquinoline Quinone)

PQQ is a unique antioxidant and redox compound that supports mitochondrial biogenesis — your body’s ability to grow and maintain healthy mitochondria. More mitochondria can mean improved cellular energy, metabolic efficiency, and resilience to stress. PQQ has also been associated with benefits for cognitive performance, particularly in areas like memory, attention, and executive function under mental fatigue or aging.

Think of PQQ as a cellular upgrade: it helps your energy systems not just run, but adapt and grow stronger over time.

TMG (Trimethylglycine)

TMG is a key methyl donor that supports energy metabolism and cellular repair by fueling methylation—a foundational process involved in DNA repair, neurotransmitter balance, and liver function. It also helps convert homocysteine into methionine, supporting cardiovascular and metabolic health (Craig, 2004).

Methylation demand increases when using NAD⁺ precursors like NMN. TMG helps maintain balance in these pathways, supporting cellular efficiency, mental clarity, and long-term resilience (Dellinger et al., 2017).

Think of TMG as behind-the-scenes support—keeping your cellular energy systems clean, balanced, and running smoothly.

Creatine Monohydrate

Creatine monohydrate is one of the most researched compounds for supporting both physical and cognitive performance. It helps rapidly regenerate ATP—the body’s core energy molecule—making it essential for high-intensity physical output and sustained mental effort.

Beyond the gym, creatine is increasingly studied for its role in brain energy metabolism. Research suggests it can support memory, mental clarity, and cognitive resilience, particularly under conditions of stress, sleep deprivation, or aging. It has also gained popularity among women for supporting mood, recovery, and overall performance.

We use pure creatine monohydrate—the gold-standard form—to help fuel both body and brain energy systems, without stimulants or compromise.

Vitamin E (d-Alpha Tocopherol)

Vitamin E is a fat-soluble antioxidant that helps protect cell membranes—including mitochondrial membranes—from oxidative stress. As cellular energy production increases, so does the generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS), a natural byproduct of higher mitochondrial output.

We include natural d-alpha tocopherol, the most bioactive form of Vitamin E, to help buffer oxidative stress and support cellular integrity under load.

Think of it as antioxidant armor—added protection for high-performance energy systems.

Green Tea Caffeine

Caffeine is the most widely used cognitive stimulant in the world, known for enhancing alertness, focus, and mental stamina by blocking adenosine receptors in the brain. Even at low doses, it can improve reaction time, sustained attention, and cognitive performance during demanding tasks.

We source our caffeine from green tea for a smoother, more natural lift, and pair it with L-theanine to help balance stimulation. Rather than overloading caffeine—where higher doses can lead to jitteriness, crashes, and diminishing cognitive returns—we use just enough to support calm focus and clean, sustained focus without the downside.
